Summit Crossing in College Station

Located 1.5 miles east of Highway 6 in College Station, these upmarket College Station townhomes are located between Harvey Road and University Drive East in the southeast part of the BCS metro area. The development features 11 blocks of townhomes of varying sizes and floor plans. The median listing price has remained between $200k – $300k since 2018 and the neighborhood is home to both buyers and renters in the area. Inventory is typically low in Summit Crossing, however, there is a healthy reseller’s market.

About the Summit Crossing Townhomes

Due to Summit Crossing’s location, it’s the ideal College Station real estate option for those looking to avoid the hustle and bustle of campus while still having quick access to popular things to do and amenities of the Bryan-College Station area.

The townhomes in Summit Crossing feature an array of available floor plans – 1 – 2 stories, 2 – 3 bedrooms, and 2 – 3 bathrooms. Some units include an additional half bath. You can find layouts of varying interior square footage (between 1300 – 1600 sq. ft.) and 1 – 2 attached garages.

For many of the townhomes, additional amenities include a fenced-in balcony, washer/dryer hook up, landscape and maintenance handled by the HOA, and a community pool that is especially nice during the summer months.

Part of Summit Crossing’s popularity is due to its proximity to nearby amenities and shopping. While there isn’t a “Summit Crossing Shopping Center” in College Station, you’re 5 minutes away from the Post Oak Mall. There, you’ll find plenty of places to shop and eat right in the neighborhood.

One of the other main attractions near Summit Crossing in College Station is Veteran’s Park and Athletic Complex. This is a 150+ acre park that features more than a dozen athletic fields and plenty of places to walk, run, or just picnic with friends.

Additionally, there’s Crescent Pointe Park which is in walking distance from the Summit Crossing subdivision. Other local businesses in the immediate area include Koppe Bridge Bar & Grill, C&J Barbecue, Susan’s Ballroom Dance, The Physicians Centre Hospital, and more.

For those concerned about school districts, the Summit Crossing Townhomes are zoned within the College Station ISD. Nearby school campuses include Bowen Elementary, College Hills Elementary, and Johnson Elementary.

    There’s a common misconception that the Summit Crossing Townhomes community has or offers apartments for rent. Contrary to what information you might dig up online, Summit Crossing in College Station (not to be confused with similarly named communities in Cummings, GA, and Kansas City, MO) only offers townhome residences. Unlike apartments – which are typically a single story in a multi-family building unit – townhomes are standalone structures that often feature bi-level floor plans with 2 or more bedrooms. While there are townhomes for lease in the community, the lifestyle is more akin to that of a traditional residential neighborhood or condo community than an apartment complex.
